Google Buys Titan Aerospace

It is reported that Google recently acquired Titan Aerospace.  What does this have to do with their core business?  The reasons behind the purchase have been associated a desire to provide internet access to remote locations.  Other comment that drones will be used for image and data collection for Google products.

It wasn’t too long ago that we had posted about Google acquiring a lot of technology companies lately.  Apparently, Google isn’t alone in the perceived desire to build their own Air Force.  The purchase of Titan Aerospace was previously mulled over by Facebook.  After Google swept the rug out from under them on that idea, Facebook turned around and purchased another drone company, Ascenta.
