Many people grow uneasy and even panic every time Google changes its algorithms. Google rolls out algorithm updates to keep progressing. In fact, one reason it is the number one search engine is that it is constantly improving and changing for the better.

SEO specialists may worry when Google announces adjustments because it can signal the beginning of a new or unknown path. It’s important to remember, however, that any change to Google’s algorithm is just an upgrade. Take it with a grain of salt, and try to adjust to the changes little by little in a positive manner, much as you would with other life changes. The website that evolves doesn’t die.

Rather than panicking the moment a Google algorithm “upgrade” is detected, it may be beneficial to adopt a “wait and see” attitude. Hold off until the official announcements are made, then figure out how you will comply with the changes.

Ironically, the best place to conduct research about Google’s plans is Google itself. There is plenty of information you can get, directly or subtly, from the Google Webmaster blog. The blog gives you a loose forecast of what will be coming down the pipeline so that you can adjust your expectations accordingly.
