It’s never to early to start thinking about the holiday season, especially when you have an e-commerce store. Even those clients of ours that do not necessarily run an e-commerce based business can still benefit from preparing for the end of the year. E-commerce businesses often see 25 – 50% of their revenue come from just the last 6 – 8 weeks of the year. Since marketing a site for search engine appeal takes time to groom, make sure that you are targeting – now – what you can benefit most from later.

For those that may offer a service, instead of a product, it is still important to make sure you start aligning your brand – now – for what can benefit you during the holiday season too. Potential customers are in the purchasing mode during a calendar Q4. Make sure that your upsells are prepared and inline, that branding for your holiday banners, emails, etc. are ready and everything is queued months early.

If you have images, videos, rich media etc. being placed for PPC, affiliate marketing, etc., don’t hesitate to ask our opinion if there’s anything that you can do to modify the media so that you might be able to “kill two birds with one stone” and get in some search gains out of the media as well.
